Since April 2016, self-taught musician and Jagadeesh - Founder / Composer of Bangalore-based World Fusion Jazz Band - MoonArra, set up the School's newest department- the Jazz& Contemporary Music Department.
Jagadeesh, who hails from a Marketing and Advertising background with many years of experience in the Corporate Sector, is an experienced guitarist performing with pop, rock, jazz and fusion ensembles for over three decades. Playing both nylon classical guitar and electric steel string guitar, Jagadeesh has performed in International Jazz Festivals and concert tours the world over; along with his Band as well as collaborating with other internationally-acclaimed jazz musicians.
Besides studying Carnatic Classical music for 2 years on the flute, Jagadeesh also plays the Oud, an ancient Egyptian stringed instrument.
