Woodwinds & Brass

These are a family of musical instruments so called because they were originally made of wood and were blown to produce musical sounds . The earliest generation of these wind instruments were flutes and other reed instruments.

 

Later they also came to include other wind instruments made of metals like brass and silver as seen in the range of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, flutes , clarinets and many others that form part of the woodwind section of any modern orchestra today.
